Crow Nest Park GC held the annual Any Combination AmAm on Thursday where one hundred players from nineteen clubs took to the course playing in teams of four Stableford. Rain threatened in the cool easterly breeze in the morning but never appeared and the day broke out into glorious late afternoon sunshine.
The halfway house raised a magnificent £273.50 for the captains charities.
Thirteen two’s were achieved and nearest the pin was John Watson by a magnificent 8” from the hole.
The outright winners were Paul Mason, Tony Collins, Tony Williamson and P. Armitage with 95pts, all from CNP.
In 2nd place R. Crowther, A. Clegg, John Watson and C. Turner from CNP with 90 pts on countback.
In 3rd place Dennis McAuliffe, C. Taylor, Tom Potter and Jacob Stark from CNP with 90 pts.
In 4th place Andy Sheldon & Andy Lawson from CNP with P. Siddall from Todmorden and Howard Till from Leighton Buzzard with 89 pts.
The Best Visitors prize went to R. Parker, D. Harrison C. Froggett and S. Eakin from Bradley Park GC with 87 pts.
Another one of those really good golfing days at Crow Nest Park GC with a great atmosphere, where the ladies and gents and staff all pulled together to host a very successful event.
All played in the best golfing spirit.
