Welcome
I am very honoured to be Captain of Crow Nest Park Golf Club, a club I am proud to have been a member of since it opened in 1995.
If you have never played our course, you are missing a treat - it is a gem of a 9-hole course. The fairways are tree lined which, in itself, is a challenge and then you come to our tricky greens. It is a course that suits all handicaps.
Even though we are a relatively new golf course, the grounds on which it sits once was home to the Walker family for approximately 200 years and, more recently, Sir Titus Salt. Crow Nest was mentioned frequently in the television series Gentleman Jack as the home of Ann Walker.
Whether you are playing the course, honing your golf skills on the driving range, or relaxing with a drink, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.
My chosen charity for this year is in aid of Motor Neurone Disease. The MND Association raises funds not only to find the cause and a cure, but also to help the patients and families with practical support. In the UK, approximately 6 people a day are diagnosed with MND, and also, the same number lose their battle with the disease.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
