Thirteen ladies and Thirteen gents played for the Buckwell Trophy on Sunday in a mixed Greensomes. This is the only mixed major board competition at Crow Nest Park GC and as it is a random draw it is always good fun.This year we had a fly past of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight of the Avro Lancaster bomber on its way to the Blackpool Air Show, a fabulous sight right over our golf course.
The competition had a slightly rainy start but cleared up nicely helped by a moderate South Westerly wind.
The winners of the trophy this year were Diane Higgins and VC Tony Ludlow Green with a score of 64.
Well done to all who played and all in the best golfing spirit.
