Tuesday 4th July, 2023.
Crow Nest Park ladies hosted our annual AmAm on Tuesday where 56 ladies came to play from around Yorkshire and Lancashire.
We had only a little fast passing rain in the morning with a good westerly wind to send the clouds on their way.
A very big thankyou to Kathy and Diane for expertly running the desk in the morning and to Tony Williamson for running the check in desk in the afternoon and efficiently checking the final scores. Big thankyou also to Brian Turner and Michael Ashton for their very able role of starting the ladies off on the 1st tee , morning and afternoon.
A very big thank you to Ann Stafford for hosting the halfway house throughout the day and to the ladies who baked or brought cakes for the occasion. We raised £55.30 for the Captains charities at the halfway house. Thankyou also to all who donated wine bottles for the raffle.
A massive thankyou to the bar and catering staff who looked after all the visiting ladies and Crow Nest Park ladies and gents and kept us all fed and watered throughout the day.

1st place – The Rochdale ladies with 86 points
2nd place – Crow Nest Park ladies Diane Higgins, Pauline Williamson and Natalie Morrison with Viv from Bradley Hall – 85 points
3rd place – Crow Nest Park ladies Tracey Helliwell and Marie Hill with Alison McManus and Janet Green from South Bradford – 83 points
Best Visitors prize went to the Brookdale ladies with 83 points. They teed off in the morning and stayed all day and once again brought their music and colour to the occasion. I have it great authority that they posted a very complimentary account of their visit to Crow Nest Park on Ladies Golf & Tee. They said when they arrived that they loved coming to Crow Nest Park and we know that they have been coming for many years, previously known as the Lobden ladies.
Thankyou to Kathy and Pauline for presenting the prizes to the winners as I escaped to Piece Hall to see the Sting concert and bumped into Mr Captain!
It was such a lovely day and great atmosphere at Crow Nest Park Golf Club, Thankyou to everyone involved for pulling together a very important day in the ladies calendar.
