Crow Nest Park ladies invited their golf partners, partners or husbands out on the course on Sunday to play for the Horrocks Salver presented by Barbara Horrocks eleven years ago in her lady captaincy year for couples to play for at the close of the season each year.

Thirteen couples played in the fourball betterball Stableford competition in excellent early autumn conditions coping well the the five minute deluge of rain in the middle of play.

The winning pair with 41 Stableford points was Carole Hampson, Crow Nest Park ladies sections lowest handicapper, and Ian Hill a winner recently on Matchplay Finals day.

In second place were Michael & Ann Ashton with 38 Stableford points and in third place on countback with 38 points were Caroline Haverstock and Richard Langley-Webb.

The course was in excellent condition and the competition was played as always in the best golfing spirits.
