Senior Captains Welcome

At Crow Nest Park Golf Club we have probably the most vibrant seniors section for many a square mile in terms of friendliness, number of members and organisation, also playing one of the best 9 hole courses in the world.

Within the section we have a number of internal competitions, Seniors knockout, May medal mug, Seniors pairs plate, Seniors championship and September salver. In addition we have 2 away days The Anderson Trophy and The Conlon Cup (an event we share with the Ladies section).

For a number of years CNPGC has been a member of the Lawrence Batley League which consists of 32 clubs split into sections and play match play on a home and away basis, to compliment this we have the EGGS (Elderly Gentlemen’s Golf Society) who play friendly matches against various clubs.

The section runs a seniors open which is open to senior members of CNPGC  and senior members from other clubs (see link), also in conjunction with the Ladies and Juniors we run a Team AM/AM/AM/AM this is for all members and entries from other clubs i.e. Ladies, Gentlemen and Juniors; each team can be any combination.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday we as seniors run the “Crows” this is open to any member male or female, a draw is made at 8.30am and we have different formats which are used to keep interest.

There is never a dull moment down at the nest, with banter and camaraderie to the forefront.  It is an unwritten law within the club that we make everyone welcome especially new members and refuse to have an “us and them” culture as found at some other clubs.
