Juniors
I am delighted to welcome you to the Junior Section for the year 2008.
As a new golf season begins, Crow Nest Park Golf Club is committed to the Junior Section and it is fantastic to have the support and commitment to junior golf through our members. We also have the commitment of our Club professional, Paul Everitt, who will be working with all our junior members individually to develop their game.
We are about to undergo one of its most progressive and exciting periods hopefully giving a successful start in golf to our youngsters.
As Junior Organiser it is important to start developing at grass roots level and at Crow Nest Park we recognise the importance of nurturing a new generation of golfers for the future health of the game. I also believe that we can help youngsters develop skills for life such as honesty, co-operation, respect, self-motivation concentration and perseverance.
As a result, we have plans to set up a junior starter centre and coaching scheme. We also aim to spread the word through local schools and have a development programme for school golf coaching within the community.
I hope to see the results of my hard work now especially in this fund raising campaign and this years campaign has received a strong media interest and support from a range of consumer and Industry titles, including an editorial on our Junior Open which is on Thursday 7th August and its local sponsors. I would like to thank all involved and encourage members and sponsors alike to continue with their enthusiasm of support for the development of our juniors and the section.
